David Nixon / Tenant Support Manager
David helps you through the early stages of becoming one of our licensees , he makes sure you have the best deals for utilities and other key supplies. He'll be there with you when you open the doors of your pub for the first time. David has accumulated over 30 years of experience in supporting landlords, including 16 years Robinsons and started in pub management.
Your Business Development Managers
All Robinsons Tenants have a nominated Business Development Manager (BDM) who is the day to day contact for advice and support across every aspect of pub business. A BDM also arranges for specialists from the Robinsons team to assist with business ideas, food and wine menu planning, marketing and PR including website and social media support.
Chris Ruddy / Business Development Manager
Chris, having joined Robinsons in 2011 is a new recruit to the Robinsons business development team. He has a strong stocktaking background including management accounting for brewery retail estates and has around 20 years experience as regional manager of managed houses and tenanted regional manager.
Alan Chapman / Business Development Manager
Alan joined Robinsons in June 2007 after spending 16 years working in tenancy business development support in various regional breweries.
Derrick Story / Business Development Manager
Derrick has over 20 years experience in business development support management roles both specific to the brewing industry and also for Cumbria Chamber of Commerce, Derrick joined Robinsons in 2006 as the BDM for Cumbria.
Richard Looms / Business Development Manager
With a background in personnel management and plenty of experience in regional brewing both as a sales promotion representative and tenated trade district manager, Richard joined Robinsons 15 years ago.
Derek Chittenden / Business Development Manager
Derek holds the honour of being Robinsons very first business development manager. Prior to joining Robinsons 16 years ago, Derek started as a managed house stocktaker before working as area manager for managed and tenanted houses, consultant to the licensed trade and teaching NVQ's in licensed house retail management.
Tom Machin / Business Development Manager
Tom started his career in the licensing trade in 1978 when he joined Higson's Brewery as an area manager. Subsequently he has worked as an area manager for Boddington's Brewery, Greenall Inn's and Scotish and Newcastle. Tom joined Robinsons as a Business Development Manager in 2000.
Tony Massey / Business Development Manager
Tony joined Robinsons 8 years ago after spending over 20 years in pub management including being a tenant in his own award winning pub. Whilst a tenant, Tony became a trainer mentor for new tenants and a training house and also was on a tenant development committe as an elected representative.
Paul Massey / Business Development Manager
Paul has recently joined the team. Paul started his career as a Sales Manager in the pub trade, this was followed by time as National Sales Training Manager for Coca Cola Schweppes in the mid 1980s. With over 20 years experience as a BDM in the tenanted/ leased trade starting with Greenalls and then working with national and regional Pubcos/ Brewers, Paul brings a wealth of experience alongside a passion for real ale.
Chris Wittleworth / Catering Development Manager
Christian is an award winning chef who first joined Robinsons 8 1/2 years ago. He spent 5 years as head chef before becoming Robinsons catering development manager. With over 20 years experience in executive and head chef roles in the hotel, restaurant and licensed trade Christian brings plenty of advice and support to our tenants including how to make cost savings in catering supplies, chef training and menu creation.
Noel Reid / Wine & Spirits Manager
Noel is dedicated to sourcing wine and spirits of premium quality with great GP margins for tenants. With extensive experience in the buying, wholesale and retailing of wines and spirits, Noel uses his expertise to support tenants in building a wine range which perfectly complements their pub. He also holds a Diploma from the Wines and Spirits Education Trust as well as having been an international wine judge.
Sarah Rogers / Retail Marketing Manager
Sarah joined Robinsons early 2011 as our retail marketing manager, bringing a wealth of operational, retail and catering experience. After growing up in her parent's pub The Bells of Peover she has over 20 years of industry experience in roles such as catering development manager, business development manager and marketing executive for north UK. Sarah supports our tenants in driving sales, business boosting ideas and retail standards.
Carmen Byrne / Digital Marketing Manager
Carmen has over 13 years experience in design, marketing and pr. She joined Robinsons in January 2011 to help tenants with their online marketing and to support tenants in sharing their news through PR activity. Carmen also heads up the ongoing development of our pubtoolkit which provides tenants with lots of business advice, a supplier directory and the chance to personalise your own promotional material such as wine and food menus, banners and posters.
