A word from our chairman Peter Robinson...

Many factors have contributed to the success and growth of Robinsons as a truly independent, family brewery. But certainly, a key and constant one has been the company's firm principle of concentrating on quality, tenanted premises.

It is our belief that the personal commitment and opportunity for initiative that are part of being a tenant, add to and complement the individual characters of our many and varied pubs and inns while ensuring the personal touch that is so important to customers, be they locals or visitors to the area. We like to think that atmosphere, decor and cuisine reflect the personality of 'mine host' and reinforce our common aim of offering a warm welcome, courteous service, fine fare and refreshments. Essentially, we see this the final. vital link between all of us at the brewery and our end customer, the consumer, as a close partnership.

We are committed to providing all the support and encouragement a licensee needs to run a successful business. Starting with famous top quality products, it emcompasses training, business support, maintenance and improvement of premises, etc and, of course, friendly advice and assistance always available from our experienced management.

Our agreement is a traditional rolling tenancy with a fair rent and with us retaining responsibilities for maintenance of the building's structure. Conversely, we expect hard working commitment, initiative and desire to make the pub or inn outstanding in its particular context, from our tenants.

This commitment is rewarded by our maintenance of fair rents reviewed every four years and the opportunity our licensees to progress upwards through the estate as and when they are able to do so. It is a formula that delivers mutual benefits.
