Why Robinsons
Robinsons is a truly independent, family run brewery. We've been that way for over 170 years and that's the way we're going to stay, so you can plan for the future with confidence. With 360 outlets in the North West, ranging from destination food houses to community pubs and quiet country inns, we've got a business which is just right for you.
From the Directors downward, everybody at Robinsons is here to help. Our product portfolio is second to none, in addition to Robinsons award winning beers, we offer an extensive range of national and international brands. Thanks to our competitive rent structure and four yearly rent reviews, a tenancy with Robinsons offers the opportunity for 'you' to create a profitable business.
What is a Traditional Tenancy Agreement?
Quite simply, you rent the pub from the Brewery and on a fully tied basis stock alcoholic and non alcoholic drink we supply... after that, you are your own boss! There are no hidden charges, no turnover bases increments, no onerous conditions and if you decide that it is not right for you, it's easy to move on, with no penalties attached.
How much support can I expect?
Running a successful pub is all about teamwork. If you succeed, that is why we provide a comprehensive support package, which can be tailored to your individual needs. We take care of the structural issues with the property, repairs, maintenance etc. In addition, we can provide help with cellar management, catering and general business planning. Day to day contact is via your Business Development Manager, but being a family brewery, we pride ourselves on the fact that Tenants can have face to face contact with the directors if the need arises.
Do you offer any training?
Yes. We have been running Licensee Training Courses at the Brewery for ten years. We are fully approved by the BIIAB and have achieved Grade One Status from the awarding body. We offer the following Certificated Qualifications: BIIAB Introduction to Licensed Retail Operations. BIIAB National Certificate for Personal License Holders. B11AB Award in Beer and Cellar Quality. Level 2 Food Safety.
What are the Benefits?
You keep all the profits. A low risk investment - we insure and maintain the fabric of the building, and provide the exterior decoration and signage. A simple agreement, which is fair and easy to understand. Modest set up costs. Extensive support from our team of Business Development Managers.
How much will it cost me?
That depends on the size of the pub, it's location and the furniture/fittings you will be purchasing. Typical 'ingoing' costs can range from 12,000GBP to 40,000GBP comprised of: Bond + stock at value + fixtures and fittings. Typical rents payable bi-weekly by Direct Debit.
How much can I expect to earn?
That is entirely up to you. Because it really is your own business. It will depend on the size of the pub, its location, the services you offer and the events you run etc. So the moe effort you put in, the more money you can take out.
What about Career Development?

Being one of the largest independent family brewers in the country, new opportunities are constantly arising and there are ample opportunities to 'move on' within the estate as your ambitions progress, with all our vacancies posted on the website.
